Julia Speirs

1. Where are you living now?
Geraldton, WA, with my husband and daughter.
...ahhh Western Australia... boasting some of the best beaches and most expensive real estate in the country, 3 hours behind the Eastern states (depending on Day Light Savings) and 10 years behind in everything else!

2. Who do you still keep in touch with from our year?
Belinda Macdonald, Jo Bell, Nicole Wilson, Michelle Andrews, Jess Strickland, Belinda Houston, Joel (Donovan) Lawrence, and occasionally Mark Behmer when he can be bothered!

3. Where do you see yourself in another 15 years time?
Living on my own acreage in a "green" house we've built, with a beautiful view, and chooks, horse, dog, vegie garden and big orchard. Always a country girl!..

Worst memories: CAT exams. Best Memories: friends, the formal, the fun.

5. What have you still not learnt to do since Year 12?
A one-armed push up.
Or learnt to speak Italian... e dunque non parlo italiano molto bene. (Sorry to anyone who actually does know Italian... I'm sure that sentence has mistakes.)

6. Did you attend the 10 year reunion in 2005, and if so what did you think?
Yes. It was a great turn out and fun catching up with old faces!

Yes.

My height - I'm now 6 feet tall!

10. What big plans do you have for 2010?
Expecting Number Two.

11. If you could do it all again, what would you change about the last 15 years?
Different uni course - different career course.

12. What has been your biggest achievement/s so far?
Climbing Mt Kilimanjaro: physically and mentally challenging.
And the truly amazing waterbirth I had with my daughter. Again, physically and mentally challenging.

13. What is your personal philosophy?
Live, love, learn.
And do right by the environment!

14. Some other interesting information about yourself?
I'm a Body Balance instructor and I can give reiki.

15. What would your last meal consist of?
A little bit of everything! I.e. a buffet
Oh and definitely a few of those almond croissants that I had in the Sydney bakery which Nikkers and Michelle took me to, thrown in!
